Ideacloud.com

The project.

Ideacloud is (was) the sister company to Contravent. So it was one of those clients—but an internal type of client—where things swirl, ambiguity sticks and everyone has an opinion about everything. I came in as Senior Interactive Designer in the beginning of 2021 and took over this project with another designer under me and it was tough.

Because so many hands had touched it and decisiveness had waned, I found myself operating as CD, PM, strategist and UX designer all simultaneously. The designer under my guidance did much of the actual design work while I was able to talk one-on-one with the CEO to understand what story we needed to tell and how to tell it.

The outcome.

The result was pretty solid. It took a complicated product, broke it down into the services offered and gave interested customers the ability to contact Ideacloud with a better understanding of their product platform.

From my understanding, Ideacloud was able to bring in a lot of revenue because of it. Not only did they operate like a formal SaaS product, now they looked like one. And with customers like Adobe, Verizon, 3M, Dell and JDA, on their roster, I’d say Ideacloud.com was a success.
